Yahoo is a wonderful tool. You can build your business using a template which yahoo offers. Yahoo is the leader in affordable web hosting. See the link below. Also, they will assist you with setting up your business online. In order to accept credit cards, you may want to consider a merchant account which is easy to set up as well through PayPal and its free. Yahoo, may also have other options as well. I hope this helps you. Oh and by the way, if you are looking at securing a domain name for your website…try godaddy.com I think its only $2.99 which isn’t bad…thats quite affordable. Good luck. Well I just connected with a girl that started a shop with cafe press and has gotten 5 orders. now that doesn’t amount to much but considering the “shop” on line is free and they handle everything except for designs (you handle that) then it’s basically free money. The way they work is say if the basic plain white tee price is 8.99 and you add your cartoon designe/or cute saying and price it at 14.99, whenever one is sold they create the shirt and mail it to your customer and charge them as well. And then they put the excess of 6.00 into your account. You can browse here .
You can get a free website here but I would suggest paying for one. This company with the funny name offers web hosting for 1.99 a month. Email them and ask if they have free templates you can choose from as well as how much they charge for a domain name.
You can sell anything on this site after you create it and use pay pal for payments (all you need is an email address and a bank account).
Or you can start by selling stuff on eBay, and if you want to save the listing fees then you can sell stuff on craigslist on the right look for your state then your closest city.

Shopster IMO is worth to try for anybody wishes to open an online store. They provide you with a fully customizable branded online store selling any of the products that you choose from the 700,000 products available in their Virtual Warehouse.
